Danielle started ballet at age ten with Elizabeth Kingsley in Fort Myers, FL. At the ages 11 and 12, she went to her 1st Summer Ballet school Virginia School for the Arts in Lynchburg, Virginia (1995-1996). During
this beginning of understanding ballet, Danielle began experiencing injuries in odd places. This never stopped her. Her dream since 4 years old was to be a ballerina.
Danielle studied excessively from the ages 13-17 and later got accepted to the School of American Ballet in New York City (1997-2001); the best ballet school in the US. She's lived her entire life feeling a purpose. She continued to study hard, pushing the levels of her body past its boundaries. At the age of 17, Danielle went to dance professionally with Miami City Ballet; but in May, 2002, she broke 7 major bones in her foot after taking off in a ballet jump.

"Never thought in a million years my ballet career would be gone in a blink of an eye."
Danielle moved to Winston-Salem, North Carolina to attend North Carolina School for the Performing Arts on a full scholarship as a ballet major. During this time, mentally, Danielle's mind was lost and changing. Blackouts were happening and also complete separation from the people around her. She was slowly losing it. Graduated and moved back to Florida, Danielle dedicated herself to teaching kids proper techniques with a twist; building them up for the future and cheering them on from the side lines.
January 25th, 2010, a baby boy came into her life while she was the age of 25. Life changes when you bring life into this world. Danielle's mental state was still in a deep battle and she needed something more for herself. Continuing to teach, Danielle become a Life Coach. Dance was more than just teaching steps.
Age 29 (2013), Danielle stopped teaching ballet and was introduced to the free-styling world of Breakin, Lockin, Wacckin, and Robotic. As a former Ballerina, free-styling was a challenge, but change was necessary. She joined in on freestyle battles. Surprisingly, she found that her mental state was at peace for once as the feeling of each beat of music pumped throughout her body. Not knowing and not caring about how the body moved; just letting it move freely. She needed a good outlet for her mind. Dancing different genres of dance became the therapeutic way to release her mind. And that's when
The Ninjas were Born.

"Did you say Ninjas? Why yes, I did. My Name is Kushina, my birth name is Danielle. I have
other names."
Dancing was the break through that Kushina needed. Living with Multiple personality disorder has always been a battle, but dancing has helped keep everyone in her mind at ease. After understanding what Kushina was facing in the mind, dancing became an obsession. For the last 18 years, Kushina's teaching career has changed in many different ways. From teaching the art of Ballet, to the art of Break Dancing; then June 2015 at the age of 30, she became an Exotic Dancer.
"A ballerina gone bad”
Kushina has never felt more alive. Reflecting, she says,
"Throughout my journey from becoming a ballerina to a pole dancer, not everyone was positive about it; but I never gave up and still don’t care about the negative thoughts."

"I knew I had a purpose. As adults, we forget who we are in this crazy world. Our hopes and dreams, we worked so hard towards when we were kids, seem to be forgotten. Crazy that I became an Exotic Dancer at age 30 to find my way physically and mentally. Pole dancing made me strong and I had to share.
January 27th, 2020, Ninja Pole Fitness was born. 1400 square-foot with beautiful 9ft mirrors and a great dance floor to move on. Finally, a place where all ages may come to a studio space with no judgment. We as adults are losing ourselves in this crazy society; forgetting our passionate goals that we’ve worked so hard towards when we were kids. Life is just work work work but the biggest role model for your child is you. If we are not pushing hard for our dreams, then why should they? We need to STOP! Let’s start remembering how great we are.
